20% weekend discount

The 20% weekend discount also applies every public holiday in Victoria.

Sue the teacher

Sue lives in Keysborough. On weekends, she drives her car on EastLink to take her son to tennis and her daughter to netball.

To get to the Reserve in Dandenong, Sue only pays 90 cents for 2 toll sections, which would normally cost $1.12. That's because Sue takes advantage of the 20% weekend discount for cars with tags.

The detail

For trips by cars with tags starting on EastLink between midnight Friday and midnight Sunday, there’s a 20% weekend discount. We will automatically reduce your toll by 20%.

From Maroondah Highway to High Street Road the reduced car tolls on weekends are just 30 cents at each toll point. And from High Street Road to Greens Road car tolls are reduced to just 45 cents at each toll point.

The car toll for each EastLink tunnel is reduced to $2.05 on weekends, and the car toll at each toll point south of Greens Road is reduced to $1.03.

The car toll cap, normally $5.57, is also reduced to $4.46 per trip on weekends.

This 20% weekend discount also applies on public holidays in Victoria, including Australia Day, Labour Day, Good Friday and Easter Monday.
