EastLink toll invoices
Failure to pay a Toll Invoice or Overdue Notice will result in a fine ($119 for each day of unregistered travel).
IMPORTANT: If your tolling account is suspended and you have received a Toll Invoice or Overdue Notice for unregistered travel on EastLink, you need to top up your account AND pay the Toll Invoice or Overdue Notice separately. Reactivating your account by topping it up will not cover trips taken on EastLink while the account was suspended.
A Breeze Toll Invoice is sent to the registered owner of each vehicle that drives on EastLink without a tag, non-tag account or EastLink trip pass. A single Toll Invoice may include multiple trips on EastLink over a period of time. The Toll Invoice includes the tolls charged for the trips made, plus additional fees.
If you do not pay the Toll Invoice by the due date, we will send you an Overdue Notice invoice. The Overdue Notice includes higher fees.
On receiving a Toll Invoice or Overdue Notice for travel on EastLink, you MUST follow the instructions printed on it. You have these options:
-
Pay the total amount due by the due date. Your payment options are printed on the Toll Invoice or Overdue Notice.
-
If you believe the trip/s specified on the Toll Invoice or Overdue Notice should have been covered by an EastLink trip pass you have purchased or by a Breeze account you have opened, please phone us on 13 LINK (13 54 65).
-
If you believe the trip/s specified on the Toll Invoice or Overdue Notice should have been charged to a tolling account you have with another toll operator such as CityLink, please phone us on 13 LINK (13 54 65) so that you can provide us with your account details.
-
If you weren't the driver of the vehicle for the trip/s specified on the Toll Invoice or Overdue Notice, you may nominate another driver. Complete and sign the nomination statement form, and return it to Breeze, PO Box 744, Ringwood VIC 3134 by the date specified on the toll invoice.
-
If you have any other questions, please phone us on 13 LINK (13 54 65).
It is important that you respond to your Toll Invoice as soon as practicable, and certainly by the due date, otherwise you will receive an Overdue Notice, which has higher fees. Failure to pay an Overdue Notice by its due date will result in Victoria Police issuing a fine (infringement notice) to the vehicle's owner or driver. The cost of an infringement notice would be $119 for each day of unregistered travel on EastLink.
EastLink tolls are much cheaper if you use a tag.
To reduce the cost of your future travel on EastLink, we recommend that drivers without a tolling account open a Breeze account. Car tags linked to Breeze pre-paid accounts have no minimum usage amounts and your unspent pre-paid balance won't expire, so you won't be disadvantaged if you use EastLink less frequently.
Open a Breeze account online.
