Running parallel to the frequently congested Springvale and Stud Roads, EastLink provides a new, quicker way to travel around Melbourne’s east. EastLink connects the north-east (including Donvale, Ringwood & Mitcham), with the south-east (including Springvale, Dandenong and Frankston).

EastLink is easy to use. It is well sign-posted, with 17 interchanges providing easy access. Being a fully electronic tollway, you won’t be slowed down by cash booths. You’ll need a tag, non-tag account or trip pass to use EastLink. If you already have a tag it will work on EastLink and tolls will be charged to your account.

The EastLink Environment includes extensive park and wetlands for native plants and animals, and eye catching urban design features. The EastLink Trail for cyclists and pedestrians connects with other trails, parks and open spaces. It includes vantage points from which to enjoy the EastLink Environment.

EastLink has two tunnels under the Mullum Mullum Valley. The tunnels are named Melba and Mullum Mullum. Each tunnel is 1.6km long, and has been designed in line with the World Road Association (PIARC) standards to include world-class safety features.

The height limit within the EastLink tunnels is 4.65m (the same as within the CityLink tunnels).
