No tag required with a Breeze non-tag account
The Breeze non-tag account is a pre-paid account, and can be opened with a single opening payment of $40. The opening payment will be credited to your account as a pre-paid balance, ready to pay your tolls and charges.
The Breeze non-tag account works on EastLink and CityLink, and calculates your tolls by tracking images of your vehicle's licence plate. The Breeze non-tag account won't work on interstate tollways.
With a non-tag account, each trip you make on EastLink or CityLink will be charged an image processing fee in addition to the toll. From 1 July 2010, the image processing fee is 25 cents for each trip on EastLink, and 75 cents for each trip on CityLink. The image processing fee is waived for motorcycles.
If you have more than one vehicle, you can register the licence plate number of each of your vehicles on the one Breeze non-tag account.
Non-tag account with the flexible payment option
If you want a Breeze non-tag account with an account set up amount as low as $5 (compared to the usual minimum of $40), or make top up payments as low as $5 (compared to the usual minimum of $25), or operate your account with a minimum account balance as low as $2.50 (compared to the usual minimum balance of $10), you can choose to open a non-tag account with the flexible payment option.
This option includes a small top up fee, which is charged each time you make a top up payment lower than the usual minimum of $25.
You will still be required to maintain your account in credit, with a positive account balance.

Fees, charges and amounts
The following fees, charges and amounts apply to Breeze pre-paid non-tag accounts (valid from 1 July 2010 to 30 June 2011, including GST where applicable):
Account Set Up Amount (minimum $40, flexible payment option minimum $5.00) is the amount payable to establish a Breeze pre-paid non-tag account. This payment is credited to the new account.
Additional Statement Fee ($1 per additional statement) is charged for each additional statement you request in addition to the free quarterly statement.
Dishonour Fee (as incurred by Breeze) is charged as a result of a payment failure. It will be a pass-through (without any margin) of amounts incurred by Breeze in this circumstance.
Image Processing Fee (25 cents per trip on EastLink) is charged for each trip made on EastLink by a vehicle linked to the account but traveling without a tag. (The equivalent fee for trips on CityLink is 75 cents per trip on CityLink.)
Minimum Balance (minimum $10, flexible payment option minimum $2.50) is the account balance below which you are required to make a top up payment of at least the Top Up Amount to restore the account balance to at least the Minimum Balance.
Top Up Amount (minimum $25, flexible payment option minimum $5) is the minimum amount payable by you to top up your pre-paid account.
Top Up Fee (flexible payment option 62 cents per top up) is charged only if you have chosen the flexible payment option and your Top Up Amount is less than the Top Up Threshold Amount ($25).
