Greenfleet
Reducing our emissions
ConnectEast, the owner and operator of EastLink, has an agreement with Greenfleet to offset the vehicle emissions of the EastLink vehicle fleet, which comprises around 20 vehicles.
EastLink vehicles can be seen operating on EastLink every day
and night of the year in support of incident response, maintenance and landscaping activities. Each month, the EastLink vehicles use around 11,000 litres of diesel, 2,000 litres of unleaded petrol, and 2,000 litres of LPG.
ConnectEast has taken this important step with Greenfleet to ensure that the emissions of the EastLink vehicles are offset by new native trees planted right here in Australia as part of Greenfleet’s biosequestration program.
