Peninsula Link Freeway
Peninsula Link has revolutionised travel through the Mornington Peninsula.
Peninsula Link is the new 27km freeway that connects the south end of EastLink to the north end of the Mornington Peninsula Fwy (which runs from Mt Martha to Rosebud). This means there is 100km of motorway – and no traffic lights – from Hoddle St Collingwood all the way to Rosebud.
You DON'T need to pay a toll to use Peninsula Link.

Travel times have been slashed. Travel time savings are up to 40 minutes at peak times. Travel times from the south end of EastLink (at the 100km/hr speed limit) have reduced to:
- 5 minutes from EastLink to Cranbourne Rd
- 8 minutes from EastLink to Frankston - Flinders Rd
- 12 minutes from EastLink to Mornington - Tyabb Rd
- 15 minutes from EastLink to Mornington Peninsula Fwy at Mt Martha.
Check out the Peninsula Link travel time calculator.
Traffic congestion has significantly reduced. Large volumes of traffic have been taken off the Frankston Freeway, which is often congested (e.g. during afternoon peak times). Traffic has also been taken off Frankston - Flinders Rd (Moorooduc Hwy) and Nepean Hwy.
