The Breeze tag account will help you save money
The Breeze tag account is a pre-paid account, and can be opened with a single opening payment of $40, even if you want more than one tag. The opening payment is credited to your account as a pre-paid balance, ready to pay your tolls.
The stylish new Breeze tag works on all tollways in Australia, so with one Breeze tag account you can pay all your tolls no matter where you go.
There are a number of benefits that make using a tag the most cost effective way to pay for trips on tollways.

In general, the cost of your trip will be lowest when you use your tag.

When you use your tag, you won't be charged the image processing fee that normally applies to trips without a tag on EastLink and CityLink.

With a tag, there is no need to buy EastLink trip passes or CityLink passes.

Breeze does not charge roaming service fees. When using a Breeze tag to travel on any tollway in Australia, we will charge you only the tolls and charges we receive from the other tollway.

There are no minimum annual usage amounts* for car tags linked to a Breeze pre-paid tag account. If you drive a car, you can use your tag as often or as little as you like, and there's no annual minimum charge if you travel infrequently.
* The minimum annual usage amount for each commercial vehicle tag is $20 of EastLink tolls in each of the first three years after the tag is issued.
Motorcycles don’t need tags
Although motorcycles are tolled for travel on EastLink, for safety reasons they are not required to use a tag. A motorcycle can be linked to any Breeze account using its licence plate details. If you have a car as well as a motorcycle, you can have a Breeze tag account with a tag for your car and your motorcycle details linked to the same account. If you just have a motorcycle, we recommend the Breeze non-tag account.
The image processing fee, which normally applies to each trip made on EastLink by a vehicle linked to an account but without a tag, is waived for motorcycles.

Fees, charges and amounts
The following fees, charges and amounts apply to Breeze pre-paid tag accounts (valid from 1 July 2010 to 30 June 2011, including GST where applicable):
Account Set Up Amount (minimum $40) is the amount payable to establish a Breeze pre-paid tag account. This payment is credited to the new account.
Additional Statement Fee ($1 per additional statement) is charged for each additional statement you request in addition to the free quarterly statement.
Dishonour Fee (as incurred by Breeze) is charged as a result of a payment failure. It will be a pass-through (without any margin) of amounts incurred by Breeze in this circumstance.
Image Processing Fee (25 cents per trip on EastLink) is charged for each trip made on EastLink by a vehicle linked to the account but travelling without a tag. (The equivalent fee for trips on CityLink without a tag is 75 cents per trip on CityLink.)
Minimum Balance (minimum $10) is the account balance below which you are required to make a top up payment of at least the Top Up Amount to restore the account balance to at least the Minimum Balance.
Minimum Annual Tag Usage Amount ($20) is the minimum amount of EastLink tolls charged per commercial vehicle tag in each of the first three years after the tag is issued to your account. If the actual amount of EastLink tolls incurred by a tag during any such year is less than this amount, an additional amount equal to the difference will be charged to your account.
Tag Missing Fee ($40 per tag) is charged where an undamaged tag is not returned to us upon closure of the account. This fee is waived if the Tag Missing Fee Waiver Amount ($590) in EastLink tolls have been charged to the account and paid prior to the closure of the account.
Tag Replacement Fee ($40 per tag) is a deposit which may be required on issue of a replacement tag and is applied as a toll credit on the third anniversary of payment of the deposit, or (if the account is closed before this date) refunded to you if the undamaged tag is returned.
Top Up Amount (minimum $25) is the minimum amount payable by you to top up your pre-paid account
