Change to retail outlets that accept EastLink payments

Afterpay Touch no longer accepts EastLink payments at newsagents.

This decision has been made by Afterpay Touch.

We recommend that:

  • EastLink account top up payments should either be made via automatic payment or online at www.eastlink.com.au.
  • EastLink toll invoices and trip pass purchases should be made online at www.eastlink.com.au.

Automatic top up payment - most EastLink account holders use this method

Automatic payment is the easiest way to keep your EastLink account topped up:

  • When your account balance falls below the minimum balance amount (normally $14.35), EastLink will automatically top up your EastLink account from your nominated debit card, credit card or bank account.
  • ZERO surcharges for debit cards and credit cards (VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Diners Club).
  • To set up automatic payment on your account, please phone us on (03) 9955 1400 during business hours or login to your account at www.eastlink.com.au.

Online top up payments at the EastLink website

If you don't set up automatic payment for your account, you can make top up payments at www.eastlink.com.au:

  • Website top ups can be as little as $1 (much less than the usual $35 minimum).
  • The top up is applied immediately to your EastLink account with no delay.
  • ZERO surcharges for debit cards and credit cards (VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Diners Club).
  • You don't need your PIN code or account number to make an online top up - just provide your vehicle's licence plate number (LPN) and the website will find the account for you.

Toll invoice payments and trip pass purchases at the EastLink website

  • The website will automatically find the EastLink toll invoice simply by entering the vehicle licence plate - so there is no need to have the paper copy when making the payment.
  • The website will automatically find all the outstanding EastLink toll invoices for your vehicle.
  • When purchasing a trip pass, the website will automatically identify all the required vehicle details (including make, model, tolling class) for most Victorian vehicles simply by entering the vehicle licence plate.
  • ZERO surcharges for debit cards and credit cards (VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Diners Club).

Payments at participating 7-Eleven outlets

If you choose to pay at a retail outlet, EastLink payments may continue to be accepted at participating 7-Eleven outlets.

However, during this coronavirus pandemic we are unable to confirm which 7-Eleven outlets may be open or able to accept EastLink payments.

We apologise for any inconvenience caused by this decision by Afterpay Touch.

During this time, to ensure the health and safety of customers and staff:

  • We have temporarily closed the EastLink customer centre in Ringwood.
  • We also request that customers avoid paying with cash at participating retail outlets (7-Eleven).

Instead, we recommend you pay using your debit card or credit card right here on the EastLink website.

At the EastLink website there are ZERO surcharges for debit cards and credit cards (includes VISA, MasterCard, American Express and Diners Club).

If you choose to visit a participating retail outlet to make an EastLink payment, you must consider whether the journey to the retail outlet is 'essential' in the context of Government coronavirus restrictions and recommendations.
