EastLink disruptions

Both EastLink tunnels to close for maintenance

Saturday night 14 November (8pm to 7am)

EastLink (including the Melba and Mullum Mullum tunnels) will be closed in both directions between Springvale Rd and Canterbury Rd. Ringwood Bypass will also be closed in both directions between Ringwood St and Maroondah Hwy.

Alternative routes

  • Outbound traffic on the Eastern Fwy heading to EastLink is advised to exit at Springvale Rd and then use Canterbury Rd to access EastLink. Please note: motorists will not be able to access EastLink from Maroondah Hwy.

  • Outbound traffic on the Eastern Fwy heading to Ringwood is advised to exit at Springvale Rd and then use Maroondah Hwy.

  • Inbound/Citybound traffic on EastLink heading to the Eastern Fwy is advised to exit at Canterbury Rd and then use Springvale Rd to access the Eastern Fwy.

  • Vehicles travelling with an over-dimensional load are required to use OD1 (Springvale Rd and Burwood Hwy between the Eastern Fwy and EastLink).

Scheduled maintenance

This closure is required for scheduled maintenance works. These works are essential to maintain the high safety standard of EastLink.

The works have been scheduled for night times to minimise any delay for motorists.

Ramps at the EastLink - Monash Fwy interchange to close for maintenance

Sunday night 22 November (8pm to 5am)

  • The ramp from EastLink southbound to Monash Fwy outbound

  • The ramp from EastLink southbound to Monash Fwy inbound

Monday night 23 November (8pm to 5am)

  • The ramp from Monash Fwy outbound to EastLink northbound

  • The ramp from Monash Fwy outbound to EastLink southbound

Tuesday night 24 and Wednesday night 25 November (8pm to 5am each night)

  • The ramp from Monash Fwy inbound to EastLink northbound

  • The ramp from Monash Fwy inbound to Police Rd

  • The ramp from EastLink northbound to Monash Fwy inbound

  • The ramp from EastLink northbound to Police Rd
