EastLink disruptions
Both EastLink tunnels to close for maintenance
Saturday night 9 December (8pm-7am).
During this overnight closure, EastLink (including the Melba and Mullum Mullum tunnels) will be closed in both directions between Springvale Rd and Canterbury Rd.
Ringwood Bypass will also be closed in both directions between Ringwood St and Maroondah Hwy.
Alternative routes
Outbound traffic on the Eastern Fwy heading to EastLink is advised to exit at Springvale Rd and then use Canterbury Rd to access EastLink. Please note: motorists will not be able to access EastLink from Maroondah Hwy.
Outbound traffic on the Eastern Fwy heading to Ringwood is advised to exit at Springvale Rd and then use Maroondah Hwy.
Inbound/Citybound traffic on EastLink heading to the Eastern Fwy is advised to exit at Canterbury Rd and then use Springvale Rd to access the Eastern Fwy.
Vehicles travelling with an over-dimensional load are required to use OD1 (Springvale Rd and Burwood Hwy between the Eastern Fwy and EastLink).
EastLink northbound to close for resurfacing works between Monash Fwy and Ferntree Gully Rd
Sunday night 10 December and Monday night 11 December (8pm-5am each night).
During each of these overnight closures, EastLink northbound will be closed between Monash Fwy and Ferntree Gully Rd.
The BP service centre on EastLink northbound will also be closed and inaccessible during these overnight closures.
Alternative routes:
Northbound traffic on EastLink is advised to exit at Monash Fwy, and take Jacksons Rd, Wellington Rd, Jells Rd and Ferntree Gully Rd to return to EastLink northbound.
EastLink northbound to close for resurfacing works between Wellington Rd and Ferntree Gully Rd
Tuesday night 12 December to Thursday night 14 December, Sunday night 17 December and Monday night 18 December (8pm-5am each night).
During each of these overnight closures, EastLink northbound will be closed between Wellington Rd and Ferntree Gully Rd.
The BP service centre on EastLink northbound will also be closed and inaccessible during these overnight closures.
Alternative routes:
Northbound traffic on EastLink is advised to exit at Wellington Rd, and take Stud Rd and Ferntree Gully Rd to return to EastLink northbound.

During the day, a road section might have a temporary running surface with minimal line markings and with a reduced speed limit in place prior to that section being completed. Please drive to the conditions, keep your distance from other vehicles and observe speed restrictions.
