State winners in AIPM Project Management Achievement Awards 2024

Owner and operator of EastLink (ConnectEast) and Beca have together been announced as the Victorian state winners of the Australian Institute of Project Management (AIPM) Project Management Achievement Award (Construction/Engineering Projects). This was awarded for the multi-year project to resurface EastLink.

EastLink has been selected as a finalist for our project to relocate the motorist emergency telephones and fire emergency telephones from the walls of the EastLink tunnels into the cross passages between the tunnels.

EastLink enhances customer experience and credit card security for phone call payments

While most EastLink payments are made automatically or via the EastLink website, some customers continue to prefer to pay over the phone with a customer service operator. EastLink has implemented a new system that has enhanced the security of all phone call payments.

Dangerous debris and illegal dumping is investigated and reported to the authorities

During April - June 2024 there were 206 debris incidents on EastLink. Debris falling from vehicles puts other motorists at risk. There have also been recent incidents of illegal dumping of construction and other waste on EastLink’s landscaping, on grass verges and among bushes and trees.
