Tunnel maintenance schedule (2026)

The EastLink tunnels are closed periodically for scheduled maintenance works. These works are essential to maintain the high safety standard of EastLink.

The following tunnel closures are currently planned:

• Saturday night 21 February 2026 (8pm-7am)

• Saturday night 16 May 2026 (8pm-7am)

• Saturday night 15 August 2026 (8pm-7am)

• Saturday night 14 November 2026 (8pm-7am

Typically, during these tunnel closures:

• EastLink (including the Melba and Mullum Mullum tunnels) is closed in both directions between Springvale Rd and Canterbury Rd.

• Ringwood Bypass is also closed in both directions between Ringwood St and Maroondah Hwy.
