Carrum Coast Guard Around the River Fun Run is organised by the Carrum Flotilla of the Australian Volunteer Coast Guard – VF07. Founded in 1966, VF07 is one of the busiest flotillas in Victoria, averaging 120-150 assists every year. They patrol from Seaford to Sandringham and well beyond if other flotillas are not patrolling.
The Australian Volunteer Coast Guard is a national marine rescue organisation run entirely by volunteers. Their volunteers work hard to raise funds to deliver marine rescue and education services across four states and Territories, from Port Vincent in South Australia right around our coastline to Darwin in the Northern Territory.
Coast Guard services include:
Patrol of local and coastal waters
Marine Radio Services
Search and Rescue
Public Boating Education
