an EastLink trip pass can be purchased before your trip on EastLink, or up to 3 days after
one EastLink trip pass pays for a single trip in one direction on EastLink only (a return trip requires two trip passes)
with one trip pass you can exit EastLink and re-enter in the same direction provided you don't repeat a section and you complete your trip within one hour after you first entered EastLink
a trip pass is not refundable or transferable - an unused trip pass expires 6 months after purchase

for most Victorian vehicles the correct tolling class will be selected automatically based on the licence plate number
if that doesn’t happen you will need to select the correct tolling class
Cars are motor vehicles other than those that comply with any of the classifications below. Cars include those Cars towing trailers and caravans.
Light Commercial Vehicles (LCV) have two axles, cab-chassis construction, and a gross vehicle mass greater than 1.5 tonnes but not exceeding 4.5 tonnes.
Heavy Commercial Vehicles (HCV) include all of the following vehicles:
- (i) vehicles with three or more axles, cab-chassis construction, and a gross vehicle mass greater than 1.5 tonnes;
- (ii) articulated vehicles with cab-chassis construction, and a gross vehicle mass greater than 1.5 tonnes;
- (iii) buses with more than 12 seating positions (including the driver);
- (iv) vehicles with two axles, cab-chassis construction, and a gross vehicle mass greater than 4.5 tonnes;
- and (v) all other vehicles with a gross vehicle mass greater than 30 tonnes.
Motorcycles are two wheeled motor vehicles (including those with side cars).
